The Commodity Futures Trading Commission proposes to update its regulations regarding exemptions for certain systems of records from the Privacy Act of 1974. The Commission intends to specifically identify exempted systems, including enforcement and investigatory records, and the specific Privacy Act provisions from which they are exempted to better conform to OMB guidance. This proposed rulemaking also reorganizes the regulations for ease of reference and merges Office of the Inspector General exemptions into the main regulation.
