The Commodity Futures Trading Commission is revising regulation 140.72 to expand the delegation of authority to its staff for disclosing confidential information to all registered entities defined in the Commodity Exchange Act. This change specifically includes newly established self-regulatory organizations such as swap execution facilities and swap data repositories created under the Dodd-Frank Act. The Commission determined that this procedural update is effective immediately upon publication and is exempt from standard notice and comment requirements.
