Amendments to Notice 47-201 Relating to Trading Securities Using the Internet and Other Electronic Means

The regulator has amended Section 2.7 of Notice 47-201 to update requirements for road shows involving internet-based trading. The revision replaces a previous bullet point with a mandate for issuers to make an oral statement at the commencement of the road show confirming that the relevant prospectus and any amendments are accessible through SEDAR+. Alternatively, issuers may satisfy this requirement by providing the investor with a physical copy of the relevant prospectus and any amendments.

AMENDMENTS TO NOTICE 47-201 RELATING TO TRADING SECURITIES USING THE INTERNET AND OTHER ELECTRONIC MEANS

1. Section 2.7 of Notice 47-201 relating to Trading Securities Using the Internet and Other Electronic Means is amended by replacing the third bullet, in paragraph (3), by the following: “- make an oral statement at the commencement of the road show that the relevant prospectus and any amendment are accessible through SEDAR+, or provide the investor with a copy of the relevant prospectus and any amendment.”.
