Instruction No. 002-DCR/2015 on the Central Bank's Key Rate
The Governor of the Central Bank of Madagascar issued Instruction No. 002-DCR/2015 to reduce the central bank's key rate from 9.50 percent to 8.70 percent, effective October 15, 2015. This directive operates under amended Law No. 94-004 and the Governor's October 2014 appointment decree, formally updating the benchmark rate for monetary policy operations. The revised rate applies immediately to all relevant financial instruments and lending facilities managed by the institution.
