Instruction No. 002-DCR/2015 on the Central Bank's Key Rate

The Governor of the Central Bank of Madagascar issued Instruction No. 002-DCR/2015 to reduce the central bank's key rate from 9.50 percent to 8.70 percent, effective October 15, 2015. This directive operates under amended Law No. 94-004 and the Governor's October 2014 appointment decree, formally updating the benchmark rate for monetary policy operations. INSTRUCTION NO. 002-DCR/2015 on the Central Bank's Key Rate

The Governor of the Central Bank of Madagascar,

Having regard to amended Law No. 94-004 of June 10, 1994 establishing the statutes of the Central Bank of Madagascar,

Having regard to Decree No. 2014-1684 of October 29, 2014 appointing the Governor of the Central Bank of Madagascar,

DECIDES:

The key rate of the Central Bank is reduced from 9.50 percent to 8.70 percent, effective as of October 15, 2015.
