The Parliament of the Republic of Fiji enacted the Reserve Bank of Fiji (Budget Amendment) Act 2021 to amend Section 38(d) of the Reserve Bank of Fiji Act 1983. This legislative change replaces the previously mandated period of "183 days" with a new duration of "5 years". The amendment officially commences on 1 August 2021 following presidential assent.
169 TO AMEND THE RESERVE BANK OF FIJI ACT 1983 ENACTED by the Parliament of the Republic of Fiji— Short title and commencement 1.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Reserve Bank of Fiji (Budget Amendment) Act 2021. (2) This Act comes into force on 1 August 2021. Section 38 amended 2. Section 38(d) of the Reserve Bank of Fiji Act 1983 is amended by deleting “183 days” and substituting “5 years”.
