The Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued General License 5T to authorize certain transactions related to Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A. bonds on or after February 3, 2026. OFAC also published an amended Frequently Asked Question 595 and updated the Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List by adding seven individuals associated with the Maduro regime. These designations were made pursuant to Executive Order 13850 to target family members and associates of the Venezuelan government.
