Privacy of Consumer Financial Information Under Title V of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission reinstated Appendices A and B to Part 160 of Title 17 of the Code of Federal Regulations to provide model privacy forms for financial institutions. These standardized forms allow institutions to comply with Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act requirements by disclosing how they collect, share, and protect consumer personal information. The document includes specific instructions for modifying the forms to meet safe harbor provisions while maintaining readability and accurate disclosure of sharing practices.
