The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control published General License 125 to authorize transactions incident to meetings between the U.S. and Russian governments in Alaska. This authorization applies to transactions otherwise prohibited by the Russian Harmful Foreign Activities Sanctions Regulations and the Ukraine-/Russia-Related Sanctions Regulations. The license remains valid through 12:01 a.m. eastern daylight time on August 20, 2025, while explicitly excluding the unblocking of property or other prohibited activities.
