CIMA Cancels Registration of Obelisk Global Fund SPC Due to Breaches and Unfit Management
The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority has cancelled the mutual fund registration of Obelisk Global Fund SPC effective 31 May 2022. This cancellation stems from the Fund's failure to submit audited accounts for 2018 through 2021 and pay required annual fees, alongside findings that its directors and controller are not fit and proper persons. Consequently, the Authority exercised its powers under section 30 of the Mutual Funds Act to revoke registration due to contraventions and unfit management.
