CIMA Cancels Registration of Obelisk Global Fund SPC Due to Breaches and Unfit Management

Dear Sirs,

Re: Decision Notice - Obelisk Global Fund SPC (Reg. #905166) (the "Fund")

The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (the "Authority") writes to you in your capacity as Directors and Controller of the Fund.

The Fund remains in breach of the Mutual Funds Act (2021 Revision) (the "Act") as follows:

• Section 8(1) and (2) for failing to prepare and submit audited accounts to the Authority for the years ended 31 December 2018 to 2021 inclusive; and

• Section 9 for failing to pay its annual fees and penalties for the years 2020, 2021 and 2022.

TAKE NOTICE: The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority of SIX, Cricket Square, P.O. Box 10052, Grand Cayman KY1-1001, CAYMAN ISLANDS, has taken the following action.

ACTION: The Authority has cancelled the Fund’s mutual fund registration pursuant to section 30(3)(a) of the Act.

REASONS: The Authority is, pursuant to section 30(1)(a), (ba), (d), and (e) of the Act, satisfied that:

(1) the Fund is or is likely to become unable to meet its obligations as they fall due;

(2) the Fund has contravened the Act;

(3) the direction and management of the Fund has not been conducted in a fit and proper manner;

(4) Lawrence Winfield Sifton and Matthew Yiu Kong Ho are not fit and proper persons to hold a position as a director, manager or officer of a regulated mutual fund; and

(5) Jazeb Matthew Jones is not a fit and proper person to hold a controlled function.

EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE DECISION: The Authority’s decision regarding the above action is effective 31 May 2022.
