The OCC, Board, FDIC, FCA, and NCUA are extending the comment period for their July 2020 proposal to reorganize and revise the Interagency Questions and Answers Regarding Flood Insurance. The deadline for public comments is moved from September 4, 2020, to November 3, 2020, to allow additional time for analysis due to the extent of the revisions and the COVID-19 emergency. This extension provides interested parties more opportunity to review the proposed guidance and submit feedback on flood insurance requirements for lenders.
