Notice Regarding the Coming into Force on April 23, 2020 of Amendments to Automobile Insurance Endorsement Forms Q.E.F. No. 9 and Q.E.F. No. 4-9
The Autorité des marchés financiers has amended automobile insurance endorsement forms Q.E.F. No. 9 and Q.E.F. No. 4-9 to clarify marine risk exclusions for amphibious vehicles like ATVs and snowmobiles. All insurers must adopt the revised forms by April 23, 2020 and cannot apply liability reductions from prior versions that conflict with the updated language. Insurers who previously issued older versions must extend the same coverage scope to those existing policies as they do under the new forms.
