Financial Data Transparency Act Joint Data Standards

Nine federal financial regulatory agencies, including the OCC, Federal Reserve, and SEC, issued a joint notice of proposed rulemaking to establish data standards promoting interoperability of financial regulatory data. This action is mandated by the Financial Data Transparency Act of 2022 and aims to create uniform standards that will later be adopted for specific information collections through separate agency actions. The agencies invite public comment on the proposed rule by October 21, 2024, to ensure the standards effectively support consistent and efficient regulatory data reporting.
