The OCC, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, FDIC, SEC, and CFTC jointly extended the public comment period for their July 17, 2018, proposed rulemaking regarding amendments to Section 13 of the Bank Holding Company Act. The agencies granted a 30-day extension to allow interested parties additional time to analyze the proposal and prepare detailed feedback on restrictions concerning proprietary trading and interests in hedge funds or private equity funds. The revised deadline for submitting comments is now October 17, 2018, replacing the original September 17, 2018, expiration date.
