CSA and CIRO to delay implementation of final amendments to access fee and tick-size rules

The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) and the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO) announced a one-year delay in implementing final amendments to access fee and tick-size rules for U.S. Inter-listed Securities. The new effective date is November 1, 2027, aligning with corresponding United States Securities and Exchange Commission rules. The CSA will also consider necessary actions resulting from the SEC’s proposal to rescind Rules 611 and 610(e) of Regulation National Market System.
