ASIC secures travel restraint orders against Global Investment Marketing director Darren Geddes

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission secured Federal Court travel restraint orders against Darren Geddes, director of Global Investment Marketing Pty Ltd, preventing him from leaving Australia until March 2026. These measures were implemented during an investigation into the alleged misappropriation of customer investment funds by GIM and its directors. The orders were made upon ASIC's application without opposition to ensure Geddes remains available to assist with the inquiry.

ASIC has secured travel restraint orders from the Federal Court against Gold Coast-based director of Global Investment Marketing Pty Ltd ( GIM ), Darren Geddes.

The orders prevent Mr Geddes from leaving or attempting to leave Australia until 16 March 2026. Those orders were made upon an application by ASIC and were not opposed by Mr Geddes.

ASIC sought the orders as part of its investigation into GIM and its current and former directors for their roles in the alleged misappropriation of funds deposited by customers for investment purposes.

ASIC sought the orders over concerns that Mr Geddes might leave the country and be unavailable to assist ASIC with the investigation.
