Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities v. SNS Home Loans, LLC
The Pennsylvania Department of Banking and Securities issued a Consent Agreement and Order against SNS Home Loans, LLC for violating the Mortgage Licensing Act by originating and closing loans as an unlicensed mortgage lender. In settlement, SNS agreed to pay a $5,000 fine and refund $3,000 in unauthorized fees to affected consumers. The company must also refinance the violative loans within thirty days to be brokered by a licensed entity and provided documentation of these corrective actions to the Department.
