Provision of Small Denominations and Coins
The Saudi Central Bank mandates all domestic banks and financial institutions to maintain sufficient quantities of small denominations and coins across all branches to meet public demand for acquisition or exchange. Grounded in the Bank's supervisory powers under Royal Decree No. M/36 and prior circulars, this directive ensures consistent availability for both individual and corporate clients. To enforce compliance, the Bank will conduct targeted field inspections at cash centers and bank branches to verify adherence to these availability requirements.
