Law No. (23) of 2022 – Cabinet Resolution – Ministers Issued on 23 Rajab 1443 (corresponding to [Date]) Based on Article (12) of the Constitution and Law No. (54) of 2019 regarding administrative organization; After reviewing the request submitted by the Ministry of Interior and the proposal presented by the Minister of Interior; The Cabinet has decided as follows:
Article 1: A Cybersecurity Department is established within the Ministry of Interior, operating under the General Directorate for Information Technology. Article 2: The Department shall be headed by a Director appointed by the Minister of Interior, with an independent budget allocated from the Ministry’s annual appropriations. Article 3: The Department is exempt from the provisions stipulated in Law No. (15) of 2019 concerning civil service regulations, and shall operate under the special administrative framework approved by Cabinet resolution. Article 4: This Law takes effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette, and shall be considered fully operative as of the first day of the following month. Article 5: The Minister of Interior is entrusted with the implementation of this Law, and shall issue all necessary regulations to that end.
