SUBJECT: SUBMISSION OF INFORMATION MAPS ON BANKING AGENTS

The Regulation on the Exercise of Banking Agent Activity approved by Notice No. 10/GBM/2020, of 31 December, stipulates that the contracting institution must provide the Banco de Moçambique with all information relating to the activity of banking agents.

Given the need to establish a harmonized mechanism for submitting information on banking agents, the Banco de Moçambique, pursuant to paragraph 3 of Article 21 and paragraph 1 of Article 23 of the Regulation on the Exercise of Banking Agent Activity approved by Notice No. 10/GBM/2020, of 31 December, determines:

1. Contracting institutions under the Regulation on the Exercise of Banking Agent Activity approved by Notice No. 10/GBM/2020, of 31 December, must submit to the Banco de Moçambique, by the tenth day of each month, information on banking agents.

2. The information referred to in the preceding paragraph must be completed and submitted using the template contained in the Bank Supervision Application (BSA).

3. Violation of the provisions of this Circular shall be subject to legally prescribed sanctions.

4. This Circular shall take effect on 1 December 2021.
