Instruction (Historical) No. 7/2022
The Bank of Portugal issued Instruction No. 7/2022 to regulate the reporting obligations of credit institutions regarding exposures subject to measures implemented in response to the COVID-19 crisis. This directive operationalizes the reporting requirements set forth in the European Banking Authority's guidelines (EBA/GL/2020/07) to ensure consistent supervisory data collection. The instruction entered into force on March 25, 2022, and applies to banks, the Central Credit Cooperative Bank, agricultural credit cooperatives, savings banks, and mortgage credit institutions.
