Regulation to amend Regulation 31-103 respecting Registration Requirements, Exemptions and Ongoing Registrant Obligations

The Canadian Securities Administrators issued this regulation to amend Regulation 31-103 regarding registration requirements and ongoing obligations for registrants. The amendments specifically delete references to deferred or contingent sales charges from section 8.7 and remove a specific subparagraph from section 14.2.1. These changes officially come into force on June 1, 2022.

REGULATION TO AMEND REGULATION 31-103 RESPECTING REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS, EXEMPTIONS AND ONGOING REGISTRANT OBLIGATIONS Securities Act (chapter V-1.1, s. 331.1, par. (1) and (8))

  1. Section 8.7 of Regulation 31-103 respecting registration requirements, exemptions and ongoing registrant obligations (chapter V-1.1, r. 10) is amended by deleting, in subparagraph (a) of paragraph (4), the words “deferred or contingent sales charge or”.
  2. Section 14.2.1 of the Regulation is amended by deleting subparagraph (b) of paragraph (1).
  3. This Regulation comes into force on 1 June 2022.
