The Parliament of Fiji enacted the Access to Business Funding Act 2025 to facilitate investor and lender funding for private companies and other businesses by establishing streamlined fundraising pathways. The legislation permits private companies to make small equity offers subject to strict investor and monetary limits, while allowing eligible issuers to raise up to $5 million through licensed intermediaries providing crowdfunding or peer-to-peer lending services. The Reserve Bank of Fiji is empowered to license these intermediaries and enforce disclosure requirements, with penalties imposed for false or misleading statements in offering documents.
