Finansinspektionen issued regulations amending its rules on investment services and activities to implement provisions for the Pan-European Personal Pension Product (PEPP). The amendment inserts a new section into Chapter 1 of the regulations, establishing that PEPP providers and distributors must comply with additional requirements set out in FFFS 2022:20. These regulations entered into force on 1 January 2023.

Finansinspektionen prescribes pursuant to section 2, points 1 and 5 of the Supplemental Provisions for the EU Regulation on a pan-European Personal Pension Product (PEPP) Ordinance (2022:1765) that a new section, Chapter 1, section 6, shall be inserted into Finansinspektionen’s regulations (FFFS 2017:2) regarding investment services and activities with the following wording. Chapter 1 Section 6 For investment firms that are PEPP providers or PEPP distributors pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2019/1238 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 on a pan-European Personal Pension Product (PEPP), there are additional provisions set out in Finansinspektionen’s regulations (FFFS 2022:20) regarding a pan-European personal pension product.
