Notice of the Autorité Relating to Filing of Annual Returns and Other Documents for the Fiscal Year Ending December 31, 2016
The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) requires Quebec-licensed insurers to electronically file annual returns and specified supporting documents for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2016. Submissions must be processed through the File Transfer Service using designated PDF and Excel formats, with strict adherence to prescribed deadlines ranging from late February to mid-March 2017. Failure to submit complete and timely filings triggers administrative monetary sanctions under section 405.1 of the Act respecting insurance, and insurers must retain corresponding paper copies at their premises for potential AMF examination.
