The President of the Republic appointed Igor Muniz to the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) following Senate approval. His term is valid until December 31, 2029, as established by the decree published on June 3, 2026. Following approval by the Federal Senate, the President of the Republic appointed Igor Muniz to the Board of Directors of the CVM. The appointment was made by decree published on 6/3/2026 in the Official Gazette of the Union.
The new Director will serve a mandate until 12/31/2029.
Igor Muniz holds a law degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, an Executive MBA from COPPEAD/UFRJ and Instituto de Empresa Madrid, and a master's degree in Regulation Law from FGV Direito Rio. He also holds a postgraduate degree in Tax Law from the Brazilian Institute of Tax Studies and participated in extension courses at the University of California and the University of Houston. He served as an administrative councilor of closed companies, as a full councilor of the Council of Resources of the National Financial System (2021-2024), and as President of the Special Commission on Capital Markets of the Federal Council of the Brazilian Bar Association. He is the author of more than 15 legal articles and coordinator of works in the areas of corporate law and capital markets, and a guest professor at renowned educational institutions.
