CFPB Announces Joint Final Rule on Adopting Uniform Standards for Reporting Financial Data
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau finalized a joint rule establishing technical standards for financial data submission to nine major regulatory agencies as mandated by the Financial Data Transparency Act of 2022. The adopted standards define common identifiers for entities, locations, dates, products, and currencies while implementing principles-based requirements for data transmission and schema formats.
