I am pleased to inform you that the Central Bank has received a letter from the Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission regarding the establishment of governance for tagging names in official SMS messages (Names Tag), through organizing a unified electronic gateway for SMS service providers to protect the public from misuse of SMS messages.
Accordingly, the Central Bank emphasizes cooperation and prompt communication with contracted SMS service providers to complete the tagging process within the system during the transitional period specified by the Commission.
