Supervisory Relief to Help Financial Institutions and Facilitate Recovery in Areas of Tennessee Affected by Severe Winter Storm

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has issued supervisory relief to financial institutions in designated Tennessee counties following a severe winter storm that caused significant property damage and operational disruptions. The agency encourages prudent loan restructuring, extends favorable Community Reinvestment Act consideration for disaster-related investments, and grants flexibility on filing, publishing, and consumer rescission requirements. Institutions may also request expedited approval for temporary banking facilities and should notify the Dallas Regional Office of any expected reporting delays to ensure appropriate regulatory evaluation.
