AML/CFT - COVID-19 updates

AML/CFT Supervisors have extended the submission deadline for Annual AML/CFT Reports 2021 from 31 August to 30 September 2021 to accommodate disruptions caused by COVID-19 Alert Level 4. The regulators also remind reporting entities that guidance published in March 2020 regarding compliance with verification requirements during Alert Level 4 remains applicable for current alert levels. Entities requiring further assistance on specific scenarios are directed to contact their respective AML/CFT Supervisor.

  1. Extension of Submission Deadline: Annual AML/CFT Reports 2021 Due the current COVID-19 Alert Level 4, reporting entities might not be able to access the required information to complete their Annual AML/CFT Report by 31 August 2021. The AML/CFT Supervisors have therefore agreed to change the submission deadline for this year to the 30th of September 2021.
  2. Reminder of Guidance: Complying with AML/CFT verification requirements during COVID-19 Alert levels During the previous Alert Level 4 in March 2020, the supervisors published guidance to assist reporting entities to comply AML/CFT verification requirements. The supervisors would like to remind reporting entities that this guidance remains applicable for COVID-19 Alert Levels.
