Bank of Mozambique: Order: Revokes the authorization for the exercise of activity granted to the Women of Pemba Credit Cooperative, SCRL and appoints the Deposit Guarantee Fund as liquidator. SUPPLEMENT BANK OF MOZAMBIQUE Order Pursuant to Article 37 of Law No. 1/92, dated 3 January, the Organic Law of the Bank of Mozambique, the Bank of Mozambique is responsible for the supervision of Credit Institutions and Financial Companies.

1. Considering that: a) The Women of Pemba Credit Cooperative, SCRL requested the cessation of activities on 4 April 2025; and
2. Having in mind that: a) Pursuant to paragraph h) of paragraph 1 of Article 23 of Law No. 20/2020, dated 31 December – Law of Credit Institutions and Financial Companies (LICSF), the fact that a credit institution or financial company renounces its authorization constitutes grounds for the revocation thereof.
3. In the exercise of the powers conferred upon me by paragraph 1 of Article 24 of LICSF, combined with paragraphs 1 and 2 of Article 49 of Law No. 30/2007, dated 18 December, Law of the Administrative Liquidation of Credit Institutions and Financial Companies, I decide: a) To revoke the authorization for the exercise of activity granted to the Women of Pemba Credit Cooperative, SCRL; and b) To appoint the Deposit Guarantee Fund as liquidator.
