2025-09-10 | 2025-17395The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) published General License Q to authorize specific transactions involving the blocked vessel M.V. Tinos I while it is located in the United States. This license permits activities ordinarily incident to safe docking, crew health and safety, emergency repairs, environmental mitigation, and the sale of the vessel, provided that any payments to blocked persons are deposited into blocked interest-bearing accounts at U.S. financial institutions. The authorization applies exclusively to transactions involving the Tinos I, its owner Meisam Emamjomeh, and Pearl Petrochemical FZE, and explicitly prohibits new commercial contracts or any transactions occurring outside U.S. jurisdiction.
