The Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued General License 1 to authorize the wind down of transactions involving the Rwanda Defence Force. OFAC simultaneously updated its Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List by adding four Rwandan individuals and the Rwanda Defence Force entity. These actions respond to blatant violations of Washington Peace Accords by the designated officials and the military organization.
