The OCC, Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, FDIC, and NCUA are adopting final amendments to their Uniform Rules of Practice and Procedure to modernize administrative adjudications. These updates formally recognize electronic communications, filings, and signatures in administrative hearings while consolidating the OCC’s rules for national banks and federal savings associations. The revised rules take effect on April 1, 2024, applying to all adjudicatory proceedings initiated on or after that date and streamlining service of process, time limits, and ALJ authority.
