The U.S. Treasury and State Departments designated branches of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Jordan, and Lebanon as terrorist organizations. Muhammad Fawzi Taqqosh was added to the OFAC SDN List alongside the Egyptian, Jordanian, and Lebanese Muslim Brotherhood entities. These designations impose secondary sanctions risks under Executive Order 13224 and link the groups to Hamas.
