Amendment to Policy Statement to Regulation 45-106 Respecting Prospectus Exemptions
The securities regulatory authorities have amended Policy Statement to Regulation 45-106 to clarify the treatment of personal information in Québec. The revision specifies that access to personal information contained in Schedule 1 of Form 45-106F1 meets the legislative test for confidentiality. Consequently, this personal information will not be made publicly available in Québec.
AMENDMENT TO POLICY STATEMENT TO REGULATION 45-106 RESPECTING PROSPECTUS EXEMPTIONS
- Section 5.1 of Policy Statement to Regulation 45-106 respecting Prospectus Exemptionsis amended by replacing the last sentence of the second paragraph of subsection 2 with the following: “In Québec, the securities regulatory authority considers that access to personal information meets the test set out in the legislation and consequently, this information would not be made publicly available.”
