CMA Uganda Conducts Capital Markets Education Session at Makerere University
The Capital Markets Authority Uganda, in partnership with the Uganda Securities Exchange and ASAMU, conducted a capital markets public education session at Makerere University Business School on 8 April 2026. The engagement aimed to increase financial literacy among students by explaining investment products such as government bonds, corporate bonds, and unit trusts, while emphasizing the importance of early investing for long-term wealth creation. Representatives from market intermediaries including Old Mutual Uganda and Britam Uganda provided practical insights into market operations to support the Authority's ongoing investor education initiatives.
