Dear Sir,

Regarding the provision of agriculture loan facilities to farmers affected by the recent floods in the North and North-eastern regions of the country.

With reference to the aforementioned subject, you are hereby informed that the directives mentioned in serial numbers 1 and 3-8 of the ACD Circular No. 03 dated June 5, 2022, issued by this department, will also apply to the districts of Sylhet, Sunamganj, Moulvibazar, Habiganj, Kishoreganj, and Netrokona, as well as the flood-affected districts in the northern region of the country, namely: Sherpur, Jamalpur, Rangpur, Lalmonirhat, Kurigram, and other flood-affected districts identified by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.

Furthermore, the directive mentioned in serial number 2 of the aforementioned circular will be modified as follows:

2. Banks allocated under the special refinancing scheme of 3,000.00 (Three Thousand) Crore Taka established for the distribution of agriculture loans to farmers/customers at a 4% interest rate through ACD Circular No. 02 dated September 14, 2021, issued by Bangladesh Bank, must distribute at least 40% of their unutilized balances in the flood-affected districts.

This directive will take immediate effect.
