Regarding the formulation and operation of a policy for a 5,000 (Five Thousand) Crore Taka refinance scheme for the agriculture sector to ensure food security of the country.
Dear Sir,
Reference is invited to ACD Circular No. 7, dated: 17/11/2022 and ACD Circular Letter No.-02, dated: 21/03/2023 on the subject cited above.
Through the aforementioned policy, loans/investments have been provided by some banks in the livestock sector under the special incentive refinance scheme established for the agriculture sector.
Now, in order to ensure that a larger number of genuine/marginal farmers benefit from the refinance scheme, the maximum limit for new loans/investments in favor of a customer in the livestock sector has been fixed at 20 (Twenty) Lakh Taka.
In addition, all other conditions/instructions mentioned in the aforementioned circular and circular letter will remain unchanged.
This instruction will take effect immediately.
This instruction is issued under the powers granted by Section 45 of the Bank Company Act, 1991.
