ACRAA Code of Conduct Fundamentals for Domestic Credit Rating Agencies

The Association of Credit Rating Agencies in Asia (ACRAA) issues this code to establish mandatory best practices for Domestic Credit Rating Agencies regarding rating quality, independence, and conflict avoidance. DCRAs must implement rigorous, written methodologies and formal rating committees to ensure objective credit assessments, while maintaining transparent criteria, robust record-keeping, and clear appeal processes. The framework further mandates continuous surveillance, adequate resource allocation, and strict separation of analytical and business development functions to preserve rating integrity and market credibility.
