FSA Communiqué No 2 of 2020 Regarding COVID-19 for the Insurance Sector
The Seychelles Financial Services Authority designates insurance entities as essential services, mandating continued policy issuance, renewals, and claims processing throughout the pandemic. Licensees retain discretion to modify operations under their Business Continuity Plans, provided adjustments align with Department of Health guidance and do not disadvantage policyholders. The regulator further directs insurers to coordinate with the Seychelles Police for staff travel passes and maintains active oversight through direct supervisory channels.
