Agreement announcing the first 2023 vacation period for the National Customs Agency of Mexico

The first general vacation period for 2023 for the National Customs Agency of Mexico is established comprising the days from July 17 to July 28, 2023, during which legal deadlines and terms for procedures before the Agency's administrative units will not be computed. Personnel covering guards necessary for operation and customs clearance continuity remain exempt from this suspension in accordance with specified fiscal and customs regulations. The agreement enters into force on the day of its publication.

AGREEMENT ANNOUNCING THE FIRST VACATION PERIOD 2023

FOR THE

NATIONAL CUSTOMS AGENCY OF MEXICO

ANDRÉ GEORGES FOULLON VAN LISSUM, Head of the National Customs Agency of Mexico, with foundation in the provisions of articles 1, 3, section XIII, 4, section A, 8 and 11, sections II, III and XX, of the Internal Regulations of the National Customs Agency of Mexico, issued through "DECREE reforming and adding various provisions of the Internal Regulations of the Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit and of the Internal Regulations of the Tax Administration Service, and issuing the Internal Regulations of the National Customs Agency of Mexico.", published in the Official Gazette of the Federation on December 21, 2021, as well as its reform published in the same official organ on May 24, 2022, and

Considering

That, the National Customs Agency of Mexico, has exclusively under its charge, the direction, organization and functioning of customs and inspection services, to apply and ensure compliance with the legal norms that regulate the entry and exit of goods from the national territory.

That, it corresponds to the Agency to issue the provisions of a general nature and administrative agreements necessary for the effective exercise of its attributes.

That, in order to provide and guarantee greater legal certainty to taxpayers regarding the exercise of the attributes conferred to the National Customs Agency of Mexico, in its Internal Regulations, the issuance of the present Administrative Agreement is convenient.

That, in order to establish the vacation period for the National Customs Agency of Mexico, for purposes of the computation of legal deadlines and terms; the following is issued:

"AGREEMENT ANNOUNCING THE FIRST VACATION PERIOD 2023

FOR THE

NATIONAL CUSTOMS AGENCY OF MEXICO"

Single Article. In terms of article 12, first and second paragraphs of the Fiscal Code of the Federation (CFF), the following shall apply:

I. For purposes of the computation of deadlines and terms, the first general vacation period of the year 2023 is established, comprising the days from July 17 to July 28, 2023.

II. In said period legal deadlines and terms corresponding to acts, procedures and proceedings that will be processed before the administrative units of the National Customs Agency of Mexico will NOT be computed.

The foregoing, without prejudice to personnel covering guards and that is necessary for the operation and continuity in the exercise of the conferred faculties and customs clearance, according to what is provided in articles 13 of the CFF, 1st, 10, 18, 19, 35, 36 and 43 of the Customs Law; and 14 of its Regulations, in relation to Annex 4, Customs Hours, of the General Rules on Foreign Trade in force.

Transitory Articles

Single. This Agreement shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
