Agreement extending the validity of the agreement entered into by the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit and the State of Sonora for the temporary entry and importation of vehicles into Sonora, published on November 25, 2005

This agreement extends the validity of the 2005 arrangement between the Federal Government and the State of Sonora regarding the temporary entry and importation of vehicles into Sonora without bond or deposit. The validity is prolonged until December 31, 2023, for foreigners and Mexicans residing abroad who circulate exclusively in the Northwest of the State. The instrument enters into force the day after its subscription on December 21, 2022, and must be published in the State Official Bulletin and the Federation Official Diary.

AGREEMENT extending the validity of the separate agreement entered into by the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit and the State of Sonora, for the temporary entry and importation of vehicles into the State of Sonora, published on November 25, 2005.

AGREEMENT EXTENDING THE VALIDITY OF THE SEPARATE AGREEMENT ENTERED INTO BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT, THROUGH THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE AND PUBLIC CREDIT AND THE FREE AND SOVEREIGN STATE OF SONORA, FOR THE TEMPORARY ENTRY AND IMPORTATION OF VEHICLES INTO THE STATE OF SONORA, PUBLISHED IN THE OFFICIAL DIARY OF THE FEDERATION ON NOVEMBER 25, 2005.

The Federal Government, through the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, hereinafter referred to as the "Ministry", represented by its Head Citizen Rogelio Eduardo Ramírez de la O and the Government of the Free and Sovereign State of Sonora, hereinafter referred to as the "State", represented by Citizen Francisco Alfonso Durazo Montaño, in his capacity as Constitutional Governor of said State, have decided to enter into this Agreement, in accordance with the following articles of federal legislation, 26 of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States; 31, sections XII and XXXII of the Organic Law of the Federal Public Administration and 4th and 6th, section XXVI of the Internal Regulations of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, as well as in the articles of the following state legislation, 79, sections XVI and XLI of the Political Constitution of the Free and Sovereign State of Sonora, and 2nd and 9th of the Organic Law of the Executive Power of the State of Sonora, and in the ninth clause of the Agreement entered into by the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit and the Government of the Free and Sovereign State of Sonora, for the temporary entry and importation of vehicles into the State of Sonora, published in the Official Diary of the Federation on November 25, 2005, in the terms of the following background and clauses:

BACKGROUND

On November 25, 2005, the Agreement entered into by the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit and the Government of the Free and Sovereign State of Sonora, for the temporary entry and importation of vehicles into the State of Sonora was published in the Official Diary of the Federation;

The purpose of the aforementioned Agreement is to support and facilitate the procedures that foreigners and Mexicans residing abroad must comply with to temporarily enter their vehicles into the State without the granting of a bond or deposit to guarantee their return, provided they circulate exclusively in the Northwest of the territory of the State;

That in accordance with the diverse published in the Official Diary of the Federation on December 28, 2021, the validity of the Agreement in question concludes on December 31, 2022, providing for the possibility of being extended for the time established by both parties, and

That in this context, the Ministry and the State have considered it convenient to continue the facilities for the temporary entry and importation of vehicles into the State, so they have agreed to enter into this instrument to extend the validity of the Agreement cited, in accordance with the following:

CLAUSE

SOLE.- The validity of the "Agreement entered into by the Federal Government, through the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit and the Government of the Free and Sovereign State of Sonora, for the temporary entry and importation of vehicles into the State of Sonora", published in the Official Diary of the Federation on November 25, 2005, is extended until December 31, 2023.

TRANSITORY

SOLE.- This Agreement will enter into force starting from the day following its subscription and will be published in the Official Bulletin of the State and in the Official Diary of the Federation.

This Agreement is signed in five equally valid copies, in Mexico City, on December 21, two thousand twenty-two. - The Secretary of Finance and Public Credit, Rogelio Eduardo Ramírez de la O.- Signature.- The Constitutional Governor of the State of Sonora, Francisco Alfonso Durazo Montaño.- Signature.
