Annual Licence Fee of Licensed Commercial and Specialised Banks

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka requires all licensed commercial and specialised banks to pay their 2026 annual licence fee on or before 31 January 2026. Calculated based on total assets as of the end of 2025, the tiered schedule ranges from Rs. 4.0 million for institutions with under Rs. 25 billion in assets to Rs. 56.5 million for those exceeding Rs. 5,000 billion. Established under Sections 8 and 76D(6) of the Banking Act No. 30 of 1988, this determination aligns regulatory contributions directly with each bank's reported financial size.
