Appointment of Expert Members for the Monetary Policy Committee
Four expert members were appointed to the Monetary Policy Committee to succeed members whose terms end on 31 October 2026. The appointees will serve a three-year term commencing on 1 November 2026. The approved individuals are Mr. Charl Kengchon, Mr. Mathee Supapongse, Mr. Somchai Harnhirun, and Ms. Sauwanee Thairungroj.

Mr. Chiranuwat Tanyacharoen, Secretary to the Board of the Bank of Thailand, announced that as its meeting on 26 August 2026, the Board approved the appointment of the expert members to the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) to succeed members whose terms will end on 31 October 2026. The appointees will serve a three-year term commencing on 1 November 2026, as follows:
