ASFI Circular Letter DNP CC-2561 2020 of March 19, 2020

Financial intermediation entities are instructed to provide timely attention to current and subsequent requests for the issuance of Guarantee Letters and First-Demand Guarantees from laboratories and national pharmaceutical manufacturing companies that are part of the Bolivian Pharmaceutical Industry Chamber (CIFABOL). This directive applies to entities operating within the Plurinational State of Bolivia under the national health emergency declared by Supreme Decree No. 4196.

Gentlemen:

Considering the provisions established in Supreme Decree No. 4196 of March 17, 2020, which declares a national health emergency and quarantine throughout the territory of the Plurinational State of Bolivia against the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), and within the framework of the attributions of this Financial System Supervisory Authority (ASFI), financial intermediation entities are instructed to provide timely attention to current and subsequent requests for the issuance of Guarantee Letters and First-Demand Guarantees from laboratories and national pharmaceutical manufacturing companies that are part of the Bolivian Pharmaceutical Industry Chamber (CIFABOL). This is with the purpose of supporting the emergency actions being implemented by the National Government for the prevention and containment of the aforementioned outbreak.
