La Paz, August 5, 2020 CIRCULAR LETTER/ASFI/DSR I/CC-4048/2020

Gentlemen

Present

REF: PROCEDURE N° T-1501842720 PUBLIC ATTENTION IN BRANCHES AND AGENCIES NATIONWIDE

Gentlemen:

From the review of information reported through the Institutional Information Registration Module of the Integrated Market Registration System, it is noted that the number of Financial Attention Points (PAFs) currently serving the public, relative to the total number of PAFs held by Financial Intermediation Entities (EIFs) nationwide, is low.

Therefore, this Financial System Supervisory Authority urges the entities under its supervision to maximize efforts to meet the needs of financial consumers, considering the health emergency affecting the entire country, by making all their PAFs available to clients and financial users immediately.

In this regard, entities that have closed or are temporarily closing PAFs due to the presence of positive or suspected COVID-19 cases must take the necessary actions to restore public service within a maximum period of five (5) days from the occurrence of the event. They must communicate to the public the date of resumption of service at the attention point and the nearest PAFs.

Sincerely.
