Bank Holiday on 1st Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, 1447 A.H.

The State Bank of Pakistan declares a bank holiday on February 17, 2026, for the purpose of Zakat deduction. All banks, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), and Microfinance Banks (MFBs) must remain closed for public dealing on this date. However, employees of these entities are required to attend the office and treat the day as a normal working day, excluding public-facing operations.

Dear Sir/Madam,

BANK HOLIDAY

The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed for public dealing on 1st Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, 1447 A.H. , which shall be observed as “Bank Holiday” for the purpose of deduction of Zakat.

All banks / DFIs / MFBs shall, therefore, remain closed for public dealing on the afore-mentioned date. However, all employees of the banks / DFIs / MFBs will attend the office on Bank Holiday treating it as a normal working day (except for public dealing).
