Bank of Zambia Circular 02/2008: Calendar for Submission of Prudential Returns and Bank Charges

The Bank of Zambia issued Circular 02/2008 to establish the specific due dates for the 2008 submission of Prudential Returns and Bank Charges for all commercial banks and non-bank financial institutions. The directive mandates that Prudential Returns be filed via the Risk Analysis Automation System while Bank Charges returns require both hard and soft copies submitted to designated supervision department officers. A daily penalty of K100,000 is imposed for any delayed or incorrect submissions to ensure regulatory compliance.

CALENDAR FOR SUBMISSION OF PRUDENTIAL RETURNS AND BANK CHARGES FOR PERSONAL CURRENT ACCOUNTS AND OTHER GENERAL SERVICES

Further to our Circular No. 1/98 dated 21 January 1998, please be informed that the due dates for submission of Prudential Returns and Bank Charges for 2008 are as follows:

The Prudential Returns should be submitted through the Risk Analysis Automation System (RAAS) of the Bank Supervision Application. As regards the Bank Charges returns, please submit a hard copy to Director - Bank Supervision Department and a soft copy to your respective Desk Officers, with a copy sent to Mr Kambole Sikazwe, Data Entry Officer, at jksikazw@boz.zm

Finally, note that a penalty of K100,000 per return per day will be charged for any delayed submissions or incorrect returns.
